ARE ANSWERED PRAYERS.

Lately, i have been in a major strut. I was stressed out to the max and even made myself physically sick from it. It was horrible, I've been locking myself in my room, significantly distancing myself from those around me and pushing anyone trying to help away.

See, in just 3 days I am graduating high school. With my eating disorders and other unfortunates, I haven't done the best in my last 4 years of education. I never applied myself, never tried, and ultimately failed. As a junior, I failed my Chemistry class for the year. At the time, I didn't care, I figured I'd retake it the next year and pass it with flying colors then. Well, that year, was this one. I didn't pass it with flying colors, I probably did worse this time around then the first time. Without my Chemistry credit, I can not graduate.

My teacher gave us a progress report to show our current standings in the class. Mine, 41% F. Not passing. Not graduating. I was mortified, I had to pass, if I couldn't graduate on June 1st, with all my family here, I would kill myself. Thoughts of suicide and increasing the severity of my eating disorder, self destruction, you name it, i thought it. But the one thing that kept popping in my head to do was Pray.

That night, I kneeled down and prayed for help, to have the strength and necessary means of which I need to help me pass. I prayed to soften the heart of my teacher (she isn't nice) I prayed every chance i got, come sunday I fasted. Whole heartedly fasted.

As of yesterday, after I took and PASSED my final exam, made up a few things I had missing, I am passing her class and will be joining my senior class and graduating June 1st. I know God helped me, I know he answered my prayers. This blessng will be with me forever and will be my constant reminder that he listens, he cares and he loves.

Congrats on your graduation. Don't discount the hard work you put in to get there. You and God make a nice team. Some of God's greatest gifts....

Rain, I am glad that you will get to graduate with your class! Thanks for sharing. Wow, I think that's a metaphore for life too. You had something huge in front of you, that you weren't sure you could do by yourself, so you asked for God's help, sincerely, putting your all into it. And then you did what you could. You made up the work, and studied, and took your final exam. God helped your efforts and made it work, softening your teacher's heart. That's what we have to do in life too. Just do your best. If it is all that you can do, and you ask, then He will make up the difference.
