He went peacefully in his sleep to be with the Lord. Please pray for his wife Anne. Pray for the church, Coral Ridge Presbyterian in Ft Lauderdale, Fl. Thank you. He was a great warrior for God. I rejoice that his work is done.

Sky,
I've been reading about his passing in the Christian blogosphere this evening, so I came over here to express my sympathies and will indeed be praying for his wife and the church. Though I had not heard of him before, I see he was a great man of God and well known by many. I hadn't realized he was Coral Ridge; we were just down there a couple Februarys ago, in Hollywood. Take care, Sky.

<font color="purple"> Thank you all. The viewing is Wednesday and the funeral Thursday. I will try to be in the choir; they have so many of us that we might have to use a loft also. The service will be webcasted later, and TBN will air a delayed broadcast of the funeral, in it's entirety. (TBD)
In lieu of flowers etc, he asked that donations to the causes of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church be made. He didn't want crying either  but rejoicing. (Easy for him to say, he isn't the one missing him!)  It's going to be quite a time of it, for me... sadness and rejoicing?

Such sweet sorrow.
I have all but decided not to participate. Not that I don't dearly want to, but that because of the crowd expected, the parking is off site and will utilize busses instead. I just don't do bus steps well. I already was debating about the steps necessary to get to the choir loft... and my sacrum went out from just one step up this last week. Not to mention (which I am) an issue I'm having with one of my eyes I had surgery on this summer. (Don't know I can read music under spotlights.) Sigh. My mind says I can't do it. My heart desperately wants to go and add to the group showing that this was truly a great man of God!

Sky it's possible he (God) needed Dr. Kennedy with him for purposes unknown to us, we need all the angels above to get us through this world and he is now an angel

Thanks (((Angie))) Oh, I can rationalize it, a few different ways in fact: The latest is that Dr Kennedy could be seen coming a mile away...and maybe God has someone who can sneak in and catch culprits before they realize it.

Sometimes God needs to prepare the way for new leadership for new times. Some leaders are perfect for the time that they lead us through, but then their job is finished and someone else needs to be in that place. And the old leaders will stay busy of course, just at a new address.

I stayed home and watched the live webcast. The issue with all the dignitaries made it too difficult to attend and sing
