Friends,

Mama wren is making improvements on her nest on our front porch. She has already had two batches of babies. Could she be preparing for a third batch?

It's funny, though, isn't it, the term "ordinary" miracles??? I mean, there's nothing ordinary about them really! I think it's just ppl take so much for granted.

When I pull into a parking lot and find a space nearest the door, I thank God, for this is a miracle to me Ordinary Miracles

When a car cuts me off in traffic and an accident is averted, I thank God, this is a miracle to me.

When a time slot for something I need opens up at the moment I need it, that's a miracle.

When someone I need to talk with calls me on the phone while I'm thinking of calling them: miracle.

When I buy an "extra" something before I need it, only to find myself running out of it right after (except for the one I just bought) that's a miracle!

Countless things... daily occurrences... God looks after me, and His work is miraculous to me!

Wow I had to go looking for this thread, and I would have hoped it would stay active with everyone posting their little daily miracles Ordinary Miracles

Today I was triggered by a member here to go get the dessert I hadn't bought at the restaurant Ordinary Miracles I went to the grocery store and found some blueberry and pomegranate frozen yogurt! Ordinary Miracles I had just last week learned of the health benefits for me of pomegranate and thought about wanting to find some outside of a health food store.

This thread showed up at just the right time.....(a miracle). My whole life since the end of April has been just one miracle after another. I never imagined that so many miracles could happen one after another.

When I was checking out the MLS for farms in Kentucky before coming here to actually look, the farm I ended up purchasing just happened to show up right before coming here. I wouldn't have gone back to look if I hadn't purchased a GPS system for my car & needed addresses...there is was. I moved it to the top of my list, but we didn't get around to looking at it until the last thing on Friday. I had the weekend to think about it.

We got finished looking at farms on the Thursday which gave me a chance to go to the horse park & look around at the vendors booths which happened to be there that weekend for the Rolex x-country horse show. I met a person who builds barns that day & because of a horrible thunderstorm that kept us from getting to our cars for awhile that evening, we got even more of a chance to chat. It turned out that he was available the next week to help me decide if the land around the house could actually have a barn put onto it without a huge expense. While we were waiting for him to arrive at the farm, we got a chance to meet the owners (real estate agents try to keep buyers & sellers away from each other). We ended up having a lot in common in our past careers & I fell in love with the whole house & woods. Because of that meeting, they decided that they wanted me to own the farm if I decided to make an offer on it (I found this out later). There was someone else that was interested in the farm also & they were waiting for a person to talk over the possibility of a barn also. I put in my offer for the farm early Tuesday morning & they owners immediately took my offer & didn't bother telling the other agent they had received my offer(as I said, they wanted me to buy the farm & not the other people).

The only condition on the sale was the home inspection....I didn't want any huge expenses that I didn't know about other than all the new windows I knew the house needed. I was leaving for California that Friday & thought the inspection would end up occuring after I left...go figure, the inspector was available that Friday, so I could be there to go through the house with him. I was totally flexable on the closing date, & the owners wanted to close in 15 days.....no problem, so I turned around & came back May 15. While driving into Lexington from the farm in Harrodsburg, they were following me. We came to a stop light & it was changing as I went through. They stopped suddenly & the person behind them almost rear ended them & it would have been a huge accident. Luckily, he was able to get through without getting hit, but I could see the smoke from the tires in my rear view mirror. Another miracle, their guardian angel was watching over them on that one.

From that point on, the miracles have been happening daily. Everything falls into place & the right people for the things I need to have done, keep popping into my life at the right time. Of course, I have to take an active part in recognizing what is going on around me so that I am aware of what I need to take advantage of, but everything is being placed infront of me.

Of course, I enjoy the little things like the first morning in the house, I went out onto the deck & there was the most beautiful green butterfly I have ever seen. It stayed there all that day & then came back the next day. When it flew off down to the lawn, there was a robin that was eying it. I went running down the steps scaring the robin away....I couldn't imagine that becutiful butterfly being breakfast for the bird. The butterfly flew off into my woods hopefully to safety. I went to dinner at the well known Shaker Village. After dinner, I was wandering around some of their pathways & saw a light in the air. I thought I saw the firefly, but wasn't sure....then all of a sudden, they were all around me. I fell in love with fireflys when I was a child visiting my grandparents in Kansas. I didn't realize that they were in Kentucky, but it was so exciting to see them. I love sitting on my porch swing at dusk & the fields & trees come alive with their sparkle.

I could go on & on about all the miracles in my life over the last 2 months, but I think what stands out the most is that about 12 years ago, I was trying my hardest to end my life & now I am living the most wonderful, beautiful, peaceful life, I never could have imagined existed at the time. Going through what I did with my Mother at the end of her life was also quite a price to pay, but the life I now have is like living in heaven on earth with beautiful nature around me 24/7. The things I have pointed out here are just a few of the wonderful miracles that are happening. My life is just one huge constant miracle & I appreciate every second I am being given.

Thank you for the chance to take time to think about all the miracles around me,
Debbie
