I attended a Winter Solstice celebration/ceremony today and it really was awesome. I felt safe and loved and was able to get in touch with my inner feminine side to be able to replenish and renew my soul.
The Winter Solstice is the day of the year with the least amount of daylight. In other words, the shortest day of the year, in regards to the sunlight. It's a time to think about allowing the light into your heart and soul and to release the darkness that has accumulated over the past year. I learned a lot and am at a more centered and grounded state that I was before the ceremony.

I love that winter is coming ! The air feels so much cleaner and purer when it's cool.

I love doing stuff like that. Being tied into the cycle of nature. Glad it went so well.

winter solstice is a favorite time of year for me, too. i celebrate it rather than the christian holiday, as it has real meaning for me. may the coming year be filled with light and growth for you ~!

It's comforting to know that this celebration of renewal and whatnot is what inspired the Christian faith to mark the celebration of their most sacred holiday, Christmas.
