Beautiful song.....I listened several times & am trying to comprehend what is being said & if I truely agree.
It sounds as if it is trying to say that from a distance, everything that is in this world looks beautiful & that from a distance there isn't the troubles that really are here like the wars & fighting, but guns & bombs. A that God is watching this world from a distance...where there aren't all these problems...where everything is good & peaceful? so?.... But right in the middle of it (not from a distance) is all the trouble. Guess for all my years, I have felt that God isn't watching from a distance.....he is right next to me in the middle of all the mess, keeping me as safe as possible....not just watching it all happen. I agree that God is watching it happen...the bad is not of his making, but he is right in the middle of things protecting me & all the others with everything flying around them. I guess I was just a bit confused at what the song was actually trying to say? But it is definitely a beautiful song. Debbie

I'm with Debbie, though. I don't feel that God is at any great distance. God is omnipresent. He's everywhere. He's with me in my sorrows and my joys and I'm sure He's in the midst of our troops on the battlefield as well as when they get shipped home and reunite with their families. One thing for certain, though. "He's watching us."

(((((pegasus))))) thank you for the song. it is one that nearly brings me to tears everytime i hear it because it is so moving. we all need to be reminded from time to time what God's purpose for us is here on earth. i think this qoute by John Wesley says it simply, yet beautifully:
"Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can." God is watching us! i firmly believe this. we are Christ's ambassadors on this earth. Meant to do his work, in his name. and if we ALL did that the world would be beautiful always. not just from a distance. recluse1 |
