My thoughts on afterlife: I do hope there is a happy one. Though truly, I have no idea. I'm a bit agnostic when it comes to that sort of stuff but also I'm quite open to hearing about peoples' spiritual and religious beliefs. You just never know.
You come up with really good threads Yogurtssss. I liked your thread on clairvoyance. |

Good question. Truly I have no idea. If it does exist I picture the painting scene in the movie What Dreams May Come.

I believe in reincarnation. You become one with your higher self and then move on to another life. You wouldn't reincarnate as an insect or something like that because how it works is you reincarnate as something that's close to the same complexity as a human and you work your way up to more evolved lifeforms. I mean I guess you could reincarnate as an insect or something if you wanted to but we all reincarnate for learning and experience and we keep moving up. You have to go through lots of incarnations though. I mean you could probably choose not to reincarnate but we do it for learning and experience. Anyways that's what I believe what happens.

i have seen a lot of things that convince me that there is a 'spirit world' or maybe more than one~
personally, i follow the teachings of buddhism regarding reincarnation. i have done several death meditations, and believe that the personality is dropped with the body, and what remains is beyond description. but it goes back into the 'pool of life', if the consciousness has not reached a place where it can hold itself together~ that is what i strive for, not to be a shattered consciousness. __________________ AWAKEN~! |

I truly and whole heartedly believe that there is an afterlife. I had a near death experience about 7 years ago. My brain exploded. I saw the most beautiful light behind a very strange and exotic shaped tree. I could hear all that was going on around me, feel, smell and even respond to the paramedics. But this is not the only reason why I believe...I saw my dad some 8 years after his death. He was not in full body form and only is face was fleshy, human so to speak. His body was engulfed in a white misty cloud and moved like wind. I've dreamed of seeing the book of life in the arms of Jesus, no, I could not see his face. I've flown with angels in my sleep and have had ghosts speak to me both asleep and awake....sounds crazy I know and given that people with mental illness are often excused when they speak on these things as being "mentally ill" it is frustrating to tell others.
Months prior to my injury, I had a dream and in this dream a rainbow man woke me from my sleep to tell me that I could come and go with him, that I didn't have to go through any of this...fearfully, I declined and told him that I did not know him and he did not say who he was. I've never dreamed of him again but can still feel his hands on my shoulders shaking me to wake me. However, I saw him portrayed in a movie ( "The Shack") as many spirits that were in heaven and these spirits were different colors of the rainbow...I concluded to myself after seeing this that the rainbow man in my dream was that of many spirits...perhaps family/friends that have long died. I am excited about the after life. I believe we are all energy and part of the universe, that we continue, whether or not we are reincarnated or go to the mansion in the sky but I also believe that it depends on where the heart and soul is (what ever you believe) so....it could be your heaven or your hell. __________________ I haven't given up...I'm just letting go. |

I don't know what I believe. There are valid arguments that ring true with me on both sides. Have I had strange and unexplained experiences? Yes. Many. But, then, the scientific part of me says something else. So.........yeah.

The only thing I am sure of is that there's a spirit world. I'm not sure how human spirits, if at all, fit into that.
I was raised religious, but since being an adult I found my own path. I too had an experience. Mine was when I was younger and a friend experienced it too at the exact same time as me so I was able to confirm that it did happen, not just me imagining it. I do think however a lot of the things people see are just hallucinations or dreams that aren't really anything. I can't say what's real and what's not though, no one really can in regards to spirits, even with these "scientific" devices. The paranormal intrigues me greatly, but I have come to realize just how fake a lot of things are because people abuse the fascination of others to make money. |

I have experienced such, and was overwhelmed by such great love enshrouding me, but then, that's what I believe too, from God.

I believe that I am not particularly important, and therefore no afterlife is required. My actions in life will have effects after my conscious state is gone, and the atoms in my body will be re-organised into new carbon-based arrangements which will allow new life forms or things to happen.

i remember being about age 10, and being home alone, and hearing footsteps upstairs,, it gave me quite a scare. and since then, i have 'seen the spirit world' in several different ways. so i agree with the physicists who say there are 11 dimensions, and multi-verses.

I believe in a heaven and a hell. When I had surgery once I dreamed of heaven it was a big hilly meadow and I was running. I was so happy they had to forcefully wake me up from the anesthesia I was under much longer than most.

I think there's definitely an afterlife, no doubt in my mind. Everything points to it [to me]. So, we don't need to fear death, but we shouldn't go rushing off towards it either.

I was pronounced dead 3 times after 3 seizures one after the other. I remember being so peaceful it was beautiful, more than words can say! I remember I came to as a nurse put a warm blanket on me and I knew I was still on earth in the hospital.
