with a heavy heart and deep pain I say that early this afternoon, my Grandmother passed away!!! she was the last grandparent I had left...

I'm sorry, sweetie. My mother died last month at the age of 90. It's tough. I know we'll miss them greatly.

I am doing okay, jrae, but I think in a way I am still in shock. We found out her (my mother's) lungs were really bad and we had no idea. I think even the doctor was surprised. She chose to be taken off the oxygen mask and my sis and I held her hands while she died. That was hard, I have to say. I really miss her, keep thinking I'll tell her something, then remember she's no longer here.
As time goes by, of course, we lose more and more people, so I guess I should be used to it. My grandparents are long gone and now both my parents, and even a bunch of friends. That happens by the time we get 63, I guess. It takes a good while to get over the deaths of someone we were close to, but at some point we do accept it. Hang in here!
