Happy Wednesday all!

Am just struggling with depression, a feeling of spiritual dryness....a lot of stress on me to make presents for the holiday season-it's my choice to do it and I enjoy the pleasure on the recipient's face when they open it.

SO WHY DO I FEEL DISTANT FROM GOD/? A desert experience or "walking through the valley...", I don't know.

I've been exploring Christian mysticism for the last few months and it's neat. I was ecstatically in love with God and now feel in a slump.

WHAT TO DO?

OCDC OCD and the Christian life OCD and the Christian life OCD and the Christian life

when we feel these feelings we have to ask ourselves this question. i read it on a billboard, lol, but it makes so much sense.
"God is everywhere and in everything. so, if He feels far away, who moved?"

the best advice i can give to you is to come closer to Christ thru reading His word. it will build you faith and feed your soul. i will get you started thru this one scripture of faith.

1 John 5:4 Everything which has been born of God conquers the world. And this is the victory which has conquered the world: our faith.

i would also suggest that you might read Psalm 86. beautiful chapter of the bible.

hope this is helpful to you my friend. you are welcome to pm me anytime you would like for anything you might need on this journey towards Christ.

God bless you

I totally agree with recluse, get into God's Word and of course pray. Reach out to Jesus and you'll find He's right there and has been all along.

I think sometimes God allows us to feel dry and depressed because he wants us to draw close to him.

I need to be telling myself the same stuff. .. so please don't think I've got it all together . . .

God bless
