I want to thank you all for your prayers.....this isn't my flute, but I am going to be able to go to Kentucky for Christmas.

I had called the pain clinic that I had talked to when I was in KY. They had sent the referral form to my pain specialist here in Ca & is got lost....several times. They finally got the referral form in California & had it filled out & faxed but that wasn't enough....they needed a letter from the Dr. My California Dr faxed that letter on Tuesday when I was there. They got the letter & when I called them, they had an appointment set up for January 7 but that wasnt to see the Dr...it was to see someone to go over my situation & then they would make an appointment for 2 weeks later (maybe). I need the prescription filled on Jan 2 & it's not a prescription that I can wait on because it's a narcotic & unfortunately without the med, comes withdrawals after being on it for so long.

I called the pharmacy to see if they wouldn't please just fill one more of my California prescriptions & they said they would have to see & would call me back the next day (today). I decided to call & see if there might not be another pain Dr in Ky that might take me in sooner. Called around & all I found were dr's that give steroid injections....no prescriptions until I found 1 that would. The lady in the office was so nice in talking to her.....I still needed a referral like with the other dr, but she faxed it over to the California office right as we were hanging up. I called my California office immediately to let them know that another referral was needed to another Dr.

I called my California Dr this morning....didn't want to be too pushy & they had faxed the referral over this morning. I called the new KY pain Dr office & they have an appointment set up......it isn't until Jan 10 & the best they could do was Jan 4, but said they would put me on a waiting list because they are open between Christmas & New Years. I was quite a bit disappointed that I couldn't get anything before I needed my prescription filled, but this pain specialist sounds so much better than the other one that I am going with them & cancelled the other. I think I ended up with a much better Dr in this case....one who will work with me on these meds especially while I'm having to go through all the oral surgery I'm going to need once I get settled in KY.

The miracle that happened was that I called the pharmacy back (they never did call me) & both pharmacists assured me that they would fill my California prescription the end of December/January like I need. I am going to make sure I fill the prescription the end of December because I'm trying to get into a new part D for prescriptions & with narcotics, it gets really complicated with prior authorizations & everything I went through with the plan I have right now.....this plan doesn't transfer to KY, so I have to come up with something that will work......which I plan to do before leaving for KY for Christmas.

I know that since God has allowed this all to work out for me that somehow he will give me the strength to get back there. I just have to make sure I have a good alarm system on my truck this time & take everything into my room with me that has any information on it.

My prayers now are for the strength to get back there & make sure I have everything taken care of here that I can before I go back there for the several months I need to fix up my house there.

I know that strength will come from somewhere....I just know it will

As for that strength, it comes from the inside. You have always had it. God gave that strength to you long ago.
