Springtime means many things to me...the hold of winter when you're stuffed in the house is over...you can go out and enjoy the sun!

I thought maybe we could put here (of course without mentioning religion) what beautiful things we feel in our souls during springtime.

Like for me I feel this intense freedom...a time for renewed life and also a chance of hope and renewal of many things. I guess when we're all shut in during the winter I feel this kind of imprisonment in my mind, body, & soul...but with spring I feel such renewal!

So maybe we could post the good qualities/characteristics we feel as we see all this life being reborn again.

Oh gosh, what a great thread!

Sitting on the porch swing, holding one of my little loves, and listening to the birds sing while watching their first views of their very first spring.

There's nothing more to-the-core peaceful, touching and beautiful to me right now...sharing firsts with firsts...new life with new life and promise.

I was actually sent to the thread where there was the discussion on this forum and I thought we really needed to refocus...a refocus on this forum where no religion was mentioned, but yet things that really speak to us on a very deep level...which we may all see as an element of the divine...where the divine is present.

I thought the coming of springtime would be a perfect area in which we all felt these things.

(((((((((((((((( Tainted ))))))))))))))))))))

This is a lovely thread....and such a beautiful thing to think about too.

Springtime....a time of rebirth....a time of re-awakening of the earth and the soul to new possibilities and new life! It's been an extremely difficult winter here in the NE and I am more than ready to see and hear the birds each morning, the hardy flowers popping up from the earth and the warmth of the sun on my face.

Taking walks with my 9yr old grandson puts such a smile on my face and in my heart....all his wonderous questioning about life. He's such a joy to me.

The simple things....like being able to open the sunroof in my car, opening the windows in my apartment to let in the clean fresh air, not having to bundle up with a winter coat. I know they sound somewhat superficial.....but it's sometimes the little things that can help to bring about the deeper emotions that springtime always brings about for me.

My life is changing in a big way once again. I'm looking forward to what the next path will bring to me. Having all this happen now in springtime is a blessing....for the renewed hope that my life is worth something....that brings me the most comfort.

Thanks for such a neat thread! Wishing you all the joys of spring to you all!

Blessings of Springtime

When i look outside, seeing the first buds on the trees, the first shoots of bulbs from the flowers.... hearing the sounds of spring.. the first birds singing, children laughing as they play...

when i can look at the night sky without a winter jacket and dont feel the need to rush indoors where its warm..

being outside in nature, surrounded by other smiling people, glad to be free from winter hibernation themselves.. listening to the conversations as they pass, seeing the love and friendship all around me..

people sitting on the grass, eating lunch or reading peacefully.. college students taking a break outdoors, playing frisbee...

the sports of springtime... little league baseball... cookouts.. camping...

the unfrozen stream, last winters ice breaking free and leaves that float downstream with the trout ..

a warm breeze that delivers the smells of blossoms.. twinkling starlight, an evening walk...

outdoor productions of music and art... the outdoor mall...

all adds up to feelings of renewal and new beginnings... joy to be alive... joy to be a part of this beautiful planet, its kind people, the loving presence of God in every direction...
