May I share?

When I was little a favorite flower of mine was the lantana...though it was a weed and smelled like one too. But I liked it because it was hardy (I didn't know the word then) but he was a strong stem, firm leaves and petals and dimpled and many different colors. There was no one else, family nor friend that understood why I liked a weed.

Today, you buy them "Lantana" at the store for a good penny.

To which I say, "Weeds" are only plants that man hasn't figured out what to do with yet!" God knows.

in some areas the Pointsetta is considered a weed also, give me weeds any day

Especially the ones in my backyard that are tall with lots of little purple flowers

i'll bet some of the butterflies love those flowers? maybe some bees or hummingbirds? some type of insect that the 'higher' forms feed on?

Ya know there are some weeds that are amazingly beautiful!

We have these little weeds that grow in our yard every year. I had to do a search just to find it, but it's called an orange hawkweed.

I just think they are incredibly beautiful...even if they are a weed!

the colors are so alive and bright.... how could it not cheer someone?

what we are saying Pas, (lol) is that everything matters.... we started with weeds i guess, cause, they may be hard to appreciate for some.... but, i am grateful for the positive responses... i hope to learn more i didnt know about something i didnt understand before... so, far, i have...

Oh know, those are weeds???? No wonder my MIL chuckles when I point out how well they are doing in my yard.

I used the weeds as an analogy. There are many people that others disregard, considering them or their thoughts like weeds, so to speak, and never appreciating their worth.

I am to be thankful for all things... and to me, that includes what I might consider to be weeds, because it's all important to God.

I think we often forget how important some of those "weeds" can be. I mean if we really think about everything here on earth, each and every form of life has a purpose....along with everything we give life to.

BTW...as I was researching those beautiful weeds that I posted a pic of, they are also known as missionary weeds. I thought maybe SeptemberMorn or Sky would appreciate that!
