My mom is back in the hospital again. Not sure how long she will have to stay this time. She is showing very little function in one lung and they aren't hearing any thing happening in the other. She is leterally fighting for every breath. I humbly ask that you would pray for her. She has made it clear that she is ready to go when ever God decides it is her time. For that I am thankful. But in my selfishness, I am not ready to let her go.......

I've been where your mom is...and yes, was also ready to go. It's so totally draining to have to fight for every breath.

I pray that God not only heals her lungs, but strenghtens her heart also, as this takes it toll on it too. May He give her more time, and may it be without suffering!

She is so tired of fighting and suffering. She has made it clear with the doctors and with the family that if things turn for the worse that she has a DNR in place and has turned down life support etc. She has suffered with so many health issues in this past year or so....So I understand and respect her wishes...IF it comes to that point.

Prayer going up as I type, Sweetheart! I've been where you are. It was the worst time of my life to see my mom take her leave of this world. I know she was ready to move on to a better life, but it left me devastated.

From experience, the best thing to do is ask God for His unfailing mercy and put her, as well as your whole family in His hands, Dear One.

Mom is improving in leeps and strides! This aggressive I.V. steroid and antibiotic treatment seems to have worked wonders! Today they removed the IV and are trying to see if she is able to take these large amounts of meds orally. These large doses are going to be hard on her digestive system so they are going to try this for the next 24hrs and see how she handles it. If this works out then she may be able to return home soon. YAY!!!

Please continue to pray for her, that this med change will work out and she will continue to show improvement.

Mom is out of the hospital and doing much better.

My family and I are very grateful and very much appreciate all the prayers and good wishes from all of you. There is no doubt that your prayers were helpful in her being well enough to return home so quickly. There is still much in store for her recovery but she is well on her way!
