I have found when I couldn't love myself or others praying the Serenity Prayer quenches this thirsty soul with loving waters of a Higher Power. In all times of indecision & emotional disturbance, pray "God or Higher Power grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can & the wisdom to know the difference" I hope that gives u some serenity as it has me. Peace & blessings to all. love It's been delicious food for this hungry spirit.

{{{{{{{{{{Meg}}}}}}}}}} I've said that prayer many times when I thought there was no way out.

Thanks for the reminder. love

I agree, it is a great prayer to recite, over and over again. It never gets old for me, and it covers a lot of the things I need to work on too.

Trust me, there is more than that I need to work. It is just a very short prayer love

Take care everyone!

love thanks. I live with chronic pain and see pain T 3x a week...

I personally had to adjust the prayer ...for the one line to state, ...accept that I cannot change some things...

the idea of "accepting" means a different thing to me I guess. I can tolerate nearly anything, but that doesn't mean I accept it (meaning it's good and fine.)
