last day. last supper.

Today was our preacher's last day at our church. He left for Starkville, MI right after the service.

The service was pretty good though. Of course most of the women were crying. I fought it back. I have bad social anxiety but I wanted to be there for his last sermon. It was really hard and I told him so! lol He even said he was proud. It was entitled "Goodbye, Farewell, Amen" He thanked us and read a letter personalized to their family's thoughts in relation to Peter and Timothy's letter to the Church Of Philipi (Sp?)

Our church is full of jokers, much like him, and of course someone pulled one. They put a goldfish in a glass of water.....riiiight beside his. He got a kick out of it.

Then...the final goodbye. We partook in Communion...in a different manner. We stood in a line...tore a piece of bread and dipped it in the juice, which he held. As we stood before him he gave every single one of us a personal goodbye.

He told me sister and me: "It was a pleasure to you know you girls and get to know your family. You both have gifts that I know in time God will put to use. And, even though, we'll be seperated by distance...we'll always be united by Facebook and being brothers and sisters in Christ"

I already miss him. I owe him my life. He helped me A LOT through really tough times and he was a great friend. He helped me truly find God.

oh hon sounds really sad! I hope you get another pastor just as caring as this one has been for you.
