I have this hanging on my fridge..it is something I received in one of my many hospital stays and I thought I would share it with you...

Attitude

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important that the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company.. a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one thing we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how i react to it. And so it is with you... and we are in charge of our Attitudes."

thanks for sharing this jbug i worked with a girl who gave me great advice about my attitude.. it had to do with my work.. i was having a time trying to be cheerful all day and was beating my head against the wall... she said 'how our day goes depends on our first customer' .. after twenty or so years in the business i might have learned this point by now... but i hadnt and it struck me for the first time.. she was talking about my attitude.. not the first customers, but my own attitude... i could call the shots she was saying.. she was telling me not to let others place of mind be so affective on my own.. in other words, i could choose my own attitude.. thanks for sharing

Thanks jbug! I have in my profile and have always (well since my 20s?) said, It's not what you go through, but how you go through it. Yeah, attitude.

We all know we can change our attitude, because unless in the deepest depression, something that we wanted to happen can happen and for at least a few minutes a person can be estatic! They can be angry as possible, and when the phone rings and they see it's the minister or local community official, they can be sweet as honey.

What we need to realize all the time (very difficult?) is that God sees us all the time. We need to have that attitude, that it's Him on the phone calling, or Him in the room watching...
