I'm excited to be moving from a downtown urban area where I finially found an apartment 3 months ago, after spending 3 months sleeping on mats at the local homeless shelter. There is a huge beach where I'll be moving to, that is just a ten minute walk from my room. My landlord is friendly and aware of my diagnosis and appreciates my guitar skills too. I sat on the beach yesterday and gazed out at the Atlantic ocean and felt far from the shelter and my worries and anxieties. It was a much needed respite(sp?).

Sorry to hear you were in a shelter for 3 months but am glad to hear you'll be in your own place soon. Relish that good feeling.

Brook I am so glad you are finally being blessed with a new place, and just in time for the holidays to. You are a true inspiration. You push on daily in the face of pain and suffering. I am sure you are a breath of fresh air to any one who meets you. Again I am so happy for you.

brookwest, I've had a similar experience. I was living in a camper in the woods for a year before my family intervened and forced me to move. I have not been able to get my own place but I am living with my parents and contributing to the household. I'm on a wait list for a rent reduced apartment so I hope to have my own place at some point in time. I really appreciate having a real bed, bathroom and stuff like that...living rough really sucks. I hope you are doing well......D.

Depress me, Thanks for sharing your story. That must have been difficult adjusting for you; from living in the woods to domestic living. Personally, I think both have their advantages and disadvantages. I'm glad you have found a comfortable spot to live. Take care,
Thanks for this!

It is a good home. My housemates are friendly and there is not much traffic or drama like sirens and arrests. I feel safe. I just need a computer and internet now. Merry Christmas everyone here.
