Hi,

I have a friend who suffers from this disorder. I am just wondering if someone here who suffers from it can explain to me what it really feels like.

My friend refuses to get help, I dont know how to help him..

It really changes depending on whether someone is getting treatment or not. Without treatment, it's....ugh. I honestly don't know where to start. Could you ask some specific questions maybe? I'm finding it hard to ramble at length today, sorry. :<

Here's a description: psychotic thoughts; delusional, paranoid and grandiose as well as but not always hallucinations that can be audio or visual as well as smell or feel. Combined with the mood disorder of bipolar. Sza can be either bipolar type or depressive type.

Unmedicated, the disorder causes mood episodes, depressive and/or manic. Cause irrational and delusional thoughts to occur and beliefs to form. Suicidal thoughts may come with the manic depression. The disorder is a mix between bipolar disorder and mild schizophrenia.

Medicated, the disorder doesn't cause much. Sometimes for some people, the most they'll get is intrusive thoughts. Most schizoaffectives react well on medication compared to some schizophrenics.
