Help me please if you can. I have a mind filled with frustration and chaos. Disorganized thinking too. I'm lucky to have a normal conversation with anyone the way my mind goes off in so many directions.

I'm wondering if it has to do with panic attacks, because I take my Klonopin at about 8pm, and by 9pm I am feeling better. I only feel ok between 9-11pm each day. At 11pm I take another Klonopin and Abilify and Lithium and Trazodone so I can sleep.

sounds like your meds arent working like they should. talk to your doctor and see if he can prescribe something for you to take during the day to help calm your mind. you shouldnt and dont have to live like this. take care.

Abilify can increase anxiety in some people, it might be worth discussing with your pdoc. I agree with the other post that says your meds aren't working like they should. Please talk to your pdoc about this, the more they know the more they can help you. Feel better.

Oh, Abilify! I call it vilify. It made me highly agitated and aggressive.

Definitely talk to your doc! Had the same problem and also could not sleep too. Doc added Seroquel to my mix, works great! Also better for sleep then trazodone! You won't even need any benzos at bedtime! I would have to take 2 to 3 mg of xanax to fall asleep. Just 150mg of Seroquel and I'm out in 1 hour after I take it. It also settles me down a bit more during the next day. I actually feel great when I wake up, no hangover feeling. It can also be used as PRN too. But see what your doc says.

I can definitely relate. I hate this, I find it one of the most frustrating parts of the illness (although I'm mainly diagnosed MDD with Psychotic Fx) - the inability to organise thoughts and engage in meaningful conversations and dialogue with people. It makes me feel so frustrated and isolated. I agree with others though that you should speak to your Doc about medications. I've personally found with this symptom in particular, no amount of therapy based techniques has helped with it, but finding the right med and dosage usually clears it up fairly promptly.
