Apparently I have been in another delusion for quite some time, according to my therapist who I just talked to the other day. I did not tell him about my delusion until the other day when it was causing me so much anxiety and discomfort that I cried and said I GIVE UP and spilled the beans. Apparently my mind had been hijacked again. SO! once again I find myself trying to adjust to what someone else tells me is reality and I am trying to shake off the delusional thinking that creeps in. How responsible am I if I act on a delusion?

Morally, if you act in good faith on a delusion you are not responsible.
Legally, if you had caused harm or damage to others or their property, you would have to prove responsibility for your actions had been diminished by your delusional beliefs. Reality is a very difficult concept to grasp - and I don't think anyone really knows exactly what it is. Anti-psychotics are supposed to alleviate the incidence of delusional thinking to some degree, but their effectiveness depends on the individual and the dosage level of the drug used. Don't give up the search for reality - perhaps that's what life is all about.
