After months of waiting, I finally got my medical evaluation appointment for social security. It's in 3 weeks but I'm insanely nervous already and it's all I can think about. Like what if they can read my mind but think I'm making it all up and don't believe how crippling this is for me? Has anyone else gone through this for social security disability? I've had to talk to two people so far and they were less than friendly and all they had to do was update what medications I was on...so it makes me really nervous that they're going to treat me poorly but I really need some sort of income for me and my son since I can work...I had to quit my last job because of too many medical leaves of absebces...I just felt guilty cuz it stressed out my coworkers and my managers. I'm just really worried about all this.

I'm sorry you're in such a difficult situation, aleej28. I don't know anything about SSD so I can't comment on it. But I just wanted to say hello & wish you the best...
Thanks for this!

I'm also going through the process and worry constantly about the questions they will or might have for me. I'm worried about going psychotic, but then think that would show them how Ill I am and that would be good. Just make sure someone drives you as my T strongly suggested.

I went through it in November and it wasn't as bad as I feared. I worried they wouldn't understand what I was trying to say. Mine took about thirty minutes and the pain was over with as well as my anxiety. The questions were general about the things I go through and whether I can cook or not. Basically seeing how it all affects you during a given day. Hope this helps a smidge. Take care of you and try not to stress over it as much as you can that way you don't get sick or anything.
