So my p-doc put me on Lamictal in additon to the Zyprexa for my psychosis and Seroquel low dose for sleep at night (i can sleep most nights for a good 8 hours), and my thoughts are lately very manic... no longer depressive, but a tad on the manic side buying things and spending and having more energy. I am on 100mg of Lamictal in the mornings is when she told me to take it.

Is anybody else on it for even just bipolar symptoms or mixed episodes without it cause i was rapid cycling before I was put on it and now I'm stuck in a manic state. Don't misunderstand me, Depression is hell and I don't even want to go out my door but being manic I can work about a 30 hour work week as a remodeling handyman. I do it all. It nicely supplements my low SSDI that I "could" make it on but is allowing me to save up for a car when i get my license back in June 1st 2015 (long story).

Anyhow I'm having trouble slowing down at work running from job to job and need to be constantly moving or I end up smoking my vape pen and get a nicotine buzz and when i'm busy I forget about it. Anyhow my point is, is this a normal reaction to be a tad on the manic side when on Lamictal?

All posts welcome. Thanks for letting me share.

I'm on Lamictal. I was at 100mg but have been lowered to 50mg. I do not think that being on the manic side of things is caused from this med. I think it might just be the way you are. If it is not a hindrance to you I would not worry about it. If it is bothersome then I would tell you PDoc. I know I probably did not help any but that is just my 2 cents worth.
