Ok so sometimes I have thoughts about hurting people in twisted ways. Like bashing peoples heads against the wall. But I would never do it in reality. Does that mean I really might be Schizoaffective? Because my previous pdoc at my IOP program said I am Schizoaffective because I hear voices and see things.

I think you need to call your mental health team and let them know.

That doesn't answer my question.

It means you should call your doctor if you are having these thoughts that can't not be good. Please seek help .

You aren't going to get an answer here because people aren't knowledgeable about what is going on with you & can't Dx stuff like that. The only way you are going to get your question answered is to talk to your mental health care provider (pdoc)

Honestly a diagnosis of shizoaffective disorder is based on several factors, my doctors have asked me if I feel like hurting people but what leads to a diagnosis are the other things such as psychosis, mood swings, voices, delusions, hallucinations, odd beliefs and how long they last over a particular period of time. I am not a doctor this is just my experience. Remember it involves symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
