Hi everyone! I just joined, and this is my first post and first time on a forum! It's so nifty to have a place to connect with people who have the same sort of thing I was wondering if anybody here takes Haldol? I am on the monthly injection of Abilify for SZA and my doc just prescribed me some Haldol to take PRN, as needed, 2 mg for those psychotic "blips" as I call them, that just won't go away. Anybody have any experience with that medicine and/or dose?? Thanks in advance!

Welcome. Sorry, no experience with that. There is also a Psychiatric Medication section/forum if you keep scrolling down past the various disorder forums.

I have been on Haldol for about four years now, its been my wonder drug. I take it on a TID schedule 2 x 3 a day for 6MG daily, it works great. Haldol does get a bad rap out side of the mental health community because its normally prescribed as a last resort.

That is good to hear!! I'm happy for you that it is working for you, and also to hear some positive feedback on it, since it does have kind of a bad rap! Thank you for your input, it is very much appreciated and also helpful
