Does anyone get such an overwhelming sense of fear that you feel a falling sensation? It always scares me cause I can physically feel it

What time do you experience this sensation? Is it right now?

Yes. It seems that the floor is getting too close. I think that's a vertigo sensation. Anyway it feeds my existing fear and then adds a whole other dimension of fear.

I used to have problems right before I fell asleep. I'd start to have a mini panic attack and then visualized me falling off a large building. Then I would fall asleep almost immediately after that.

Biteplate; I've never experienced this symptom, that I can remember. That would be a really unsettling one. I have attacks of fear from time to time (fear of muggers/murderers, fear of criminal cops, fear of Republicans cutting SSDI, fear of fascists, fear of freezing to death, etc.), and sometimes these sensations are really intense and go on for a while, like half an hour or so. Now that we're changing regimes in Washington, the fear of Republicans cranks up a lot. I think a lot of people experience irrational fears, even those who are not mentally ill. These sensations just jerk us around and give us a hard time. Not much to be done about it, other than build good coping mechanisms (like CBSST).

I'm sorry your feeling this way! I have had unyielding fear sense my parinoia came into play. When talking to my Doc I was able to identify this fear in relation to a near death experience of being shot at by gangsters when I was just 10 years old. This wasn't the only time my brother and I found ourselves in harms way where we grew up. Doc stated that it could be PTSD then and that this same fear I feel now is in relation to my SZA. It feels terrible and I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Yes I have strange sensations in my body all the time. Like falling and swelling limbs. It happens all day long. I just have to ignore it. Any doctor I told acts like I'm crazy and dismisses it. My psychiatrist and my pain specialist.
