My ex boyfriend has severe delusions. We've always had similar thoughts and beliefs (I refuse to say they are all delusions.) But I think he's getting worse and for me to actually notice it is scaring me. He has a blood clot in his leg, but he thinks the people in the hospital implanted something into it to control him. Like keep him from exercising and moving too much. He makes connections and comes up with proof that really isn't all that significant (like I used to and sometimes still do). He thinks they're trying to kill him. I almost believe it too because I know the government, pharmaceutical companies and psychiatry want to rid the earth of the mentally ill.
He was telling me last night about how he thought he was having a heart attack or a stroke or something so he went to the hospital and they just kept bringing up his schizophrenia like it had something to do with anything. He just walked out.
I don't want his delusions to kill him but he's so stuck in his beliefs I don't know what to do. And I don't know if I'm making it worse.

your ex sounds like he is pretty set on his thoughts, the big thing to remember is he cant really help it, its his mind, paranoia, and actions put all together, and those people in the hospital are always repetative, i have "psychosis" but idk, alls i know is delusions can COMPLETELY alter what really is happening, and you have no way to control it, so maybe descretely you can pull him back to reality, but not in a way that would make him think you were against him bc that would just push him away quickly. hope i could be of some help, if you have any other questions feel free to pm me best of wishes to you and your ex
Thanks for this!
