Hello everyone, on March 13 of 2011 I was asking if I had schizophrenia. I now know, I do. Although, it's still uncertain. I was put on medication July 15, 2011.

I guess the reason I am back is the medication doesn't help. What do I do?

Sorry if I sound like an attention *****.

sadly, its quite common that meds dont help. you could try multi - vitamins and such, could help. you can tell your doctor that the meds arent working, too. Check to see if the meds are at the right level in your blood. tell your doctor, he should understand.
Im on 575 mg clozaril, and its HELPING! Good luck

I have problems with medications working. They work great for awhile and then stop working. Its always been that way for me. I don't like that fact. In fact right now my meds aren't working the way they should. My doctor did a blood test and during the day its mostly out of my system but when I took it in the morning I was so tired that I slept upwards of 18 hours a day. That was also unacceptable. I have been on so many of the pills and had the same problem. I am almost getting treatment resistant. I am not willing to try Clozaril or Zyprexa due to the extreme side effects. I am not willing to gain another 100 pounds and get diabetes. My psychosis is very mild compared to others and the risk outweighs the benefits. In fact its rare for me to hear actual voices except with the last episode I heard them a lot. I mainly see things. Mine is mainly due to the so called "delusions" that mine got diagnosed. There are other meds that you can try. Is this the first pill you tried? I am sorry that the pill isn't working for you. That is why I gave you my experience with the meds because you are not alone in this struggle.
Thanks for this!

I take clozaril and i've had pretty much no side - effects, beside sleepyness. It doesn't give me munchies like zyprexa did. I have to get my blood drawn frequently though. See ya

I take Clozapine. It doesn't seem to work at all, and I fell depressed.

There are many medications and different doses to try so don't give up hope. My medication didn't work until I was put on a really high dose, 40mg of Zyprexa.

B3NR4Y I'm right there with you.
For a different reason - antipsychotics worked for me, but the side effects were so intolerable I had to stop. So I'm not on anything either.
I hope you find something that works for you.
