Yes, me too. About philosophy. It seemed like something someone with too much time on his hands made up in his head then set it out like it was something real and useful - when it was really a bunch of crap that didn't mean anything at all. I've actually come around a bit on philosophy. I bought a volume of Marcus Aurelius' Meditations a few months ago. I noticed it on the bedroom floor the other day. I don't think I've opened it yet even. But I bought it, so clearly I'm thawing.

I don't think there's an abstract answer to the world. Or any answer at all really. We just have to do our best and muddle through.

My son's always wanting to find some answer too. He lies on the couch with a puzzled look on his face and yells at me that I've interrupted his train of thought when I say 'hello' to him. Thank God I'm no longer young.
