Nope, she means seeing them sitting in empty seats in the classroom.

Maybe she is just... artsy-schmartsy bohemian type?
Teachers get weird... they do live in their little world... so maybe she is "seeing" them because she thinks she knows them that well. Any way... doesn't sound dangerous. Sounds as fun story to tell people.

We're all mental to some extent or the other ... If you're concerned about the health and safety of her and the class, report your concerns to a counselor ... Otherwise, let her teach ...
Best teacher I ever had ... Ditzy as all get out ... But, she brought those Greek Gods and Goddesses to life in that classroom ... I still love Greek Mythology to this day ... Had it not been for her (and her eccentricity), it would have been nothing more than just a ho-hum boring class ... ![]() Pfrog |

Quote:
I'm reading a lot of history right now - mostly medival Europe. It's hard to imagine that those were real people living back then. One book talks about them in the present tense in order to make them come "alive." This reminds me of once when I was visiting Philadelphia. They have actors who wander around downtown playing historical characters. I didn't know that, and I was really confused when a woman dressed in Revolutionary style clothing walked up to me and started talking about how she'd been to a meeting with Ben Franklin the previous evening. ![]()

Yeah, she met it in a imaginative way. I told this to my counselor and he said that. I describe her as the eccentric type. What's cool about her is that she seems to be into what she's teaching... lol possibly a little too much. Her way of saying the author is alive when reading these books.

Sounds like she's trying to inspire the class to get into the literature in a deeper way by getting to know the author, not just read the book.
