People can be scared without things happening in this moment that are actually dangers. And being scared is not the best foundation for coping with any real dangers. It tends to make you do rash things, bringing on more danger.

I called the nurse today, felt ill yesterday, just waiting for her to call, my mam left a message.
I dont know if she will call, so I'll call the police tomorrow if she doesn't.

I think I'm running out of choices.
