hi, sorry if i am bothering you about being at college but because i need to learn so much i have a really big problem with my memory, my memory is so bad that i forget nearly everything that i learn and i am lucky to scrape by an assessment, i just wish i could retain some information and i like to think that maybe subconciously i do but how aam i supposed to know if its buried under laayers of chemically enhanced bio receptors? i think i'll just have to wing it, does anyone know what i mean? thanks.

I have to cram for tests because of memory issues. I'd usually study for 2 to 5 hours the night before the test. I can't do small increments over time. Using songs and rhymes also helped.

Memory techniques and training help me tremendously.

You can improve your memory by recalling the days events at end of day "as much detail as possible", expand it to the previous day, etc. Also increasing your awareness will help reduce the time needed to learn by making it easier to recall memories.

Something like the Loci system which is image association or mnemonics. For instance to remember apple, pear, orange, pen, you might picture the apple mugging the pear, then the orange comes along and chases off the pear with a pen. The wilder the image and more aware you are the easier it will be to remember.

This may help:

It all takes some effort, but most of it can be fun and rewarding.
