hi, i am a diagnosed schizophrenic and i think i might be high functioning. i have been stable for 3 years now after a med change and i have been going from strength to strength, like i go to college and the gym and i volunteer and am sociable, i don't know what would make me high functioning tho as idk what constitutes that but i like to think i am.

take care

Hi, welcome!

I think high functioning means you're able to take care of yourself like you said. Go to school, hold a job, good self-care, out in the world and getting by. Low functioning isn't necessarily when things fall apart, but when you can't put them back together.

Yeah, SAD is rough to deal with. I find that August through December is my most difficult time, then things start to turn around again in January. I don't know if it's the light or the weather or what.

In a way, though, you can kind of plan for it.... it's going to be autumn every year. I still always have a hard time, though.
