So last night was crappy because it was Valenties day of course. (I'm sure we all get that feeling Valentines day was invented soully to make sure people get to feel like crap all day more years than not.)

Anyway, I had played Silent Hill all night because, well, there were no plans, (which for those who don't know is about this creepy abandoned town over run by demons.) The new Silent Hill game, from Sept. Anyway, it's creepy but not as scary as the old versions of it.

Well, so, things went south and I was crying and went to the fridge to get a new bottle for the baby. And, we have an enclosed porch with stairs that lead down to the door, then the basement. There is a big window across from the fridge.

I am making the bottle and suddenly, from out of the window I hear this very scary screaming. It was a man's voice. I don't think it was real screaming because it kept going without taking a breath, and it sounded not only far away but like.... it was coming down a long tunnel or something. To be honest, it sounded like something that should be from a game like the one I'm playing. BUT, my game was turned off and everyone was quiet. It scared the crap out of me. I backed away and closed the door between the fridge area and the kitchen.

So, I went back to the room very fast. I asked my husband if he heard it, and he said no.

What do you think??? I mean, maybe the game influenced it to be scary like that??? It's been a few months since my last hallucination.

Wow sounds scary. to be honest you are brave going it alone anyway and for playing that game. I wish I could, so your doing good just for that . I NEVER go downstairs at night alone. Sometimes when I used to play games (bit rubbish at them now, lost my skill) I used to hear the sounds from it for some time after I stopped playing. Like all of a sudden the noise would happen and then switch off. Maybe its the same, idk, could be really could not be, only you know, I dont really know, just giving you some idea what it could be.
Thanks for this!

I don't play it a lot, well, I just got it 2 days ago. So yes for 2 days I've been playing. And I played the 2nd and 3rd in the series many, many years ago (like 10 years ago! that's so crazy!) Well, this one is more "startling" like a scary movie to make you jump, but then it's nothing. Like, a door slamming, disembodied laughing/muffled voices... etc. etc. There are demons running around but they are not the same as the old version, which were extremely, extremely twisted and scary. These are just kind of ho-hum, looks like a regular zombie, not the super "OMG what is that thing!!!"

I like scary movies and games, it's not so bad, that part. And really, I haven't felt "scared" playing this game.

And, my house is very old. It's over 100 years old, and has been in my family since it was built. So it makes some noises, but I recognize them all, you know? My dad swears the place is haunted, his grandfather died in the house when my dad was a little boy. But, I know my great-grandfather is a beneveloent spirit. When I firsted moved in I did a ritual to let him know it was me and that we're family and we love him.

But, there's another energy int he house. Something else. Long before my dad told me he experiences the same thing, I felt this. At night walking from the back of the house to the front, it always feels like someone is there behind you, and the hair on your arms can stand up. And in the basement, this same thing is very strong, and also in the bathroom. So.... yeah....

But, I am a trained priestess and have worked on the house to seal things. I regularly do sealing rituals and purifications.

But, this was like.... really scary! O.O But, half of me is like "I'm hallucinating and it's coming out like a sound that would fit my game." another part of me is just creeped out. Because, you know, like when I see the "man" in my house he doesn't feel liek anything. Sure, he makes me jump and I feel un-nerved. But he has no energy. I know he's not a demon or something because he's just an image. This noise had an energy.... it scared me. I felt I shouldn't turn my back on it, so I backed away.

Not sure then. I know when I used to play games, the sounds would rattle around in my head for ages and then I would think a car was in the room, but it was just the sound from the game or Mario was there because I could hear the sounds! I went looking for him many times, convinced he jumped out the TV. But that could be possible because some people think we live in a big computer game and we are all just part of a game the God created. I saw a film called 'Wreck it Ralph' and one of the game people were a glitch. Maybe Im a glitch. who knows, only the programmers knows, that would be God.

Day, I don't think you're a glitch. You're part of the great work of art that is life! And you're not a smudge or a glitch. That's just what this society wants you to think. Games can really grab hold of you and drag you along for a ride. That's why I like them. Adventuring without needing plane tickets or chance of getting sick from food I'm not used to.

Newtus, yes, I play games like that, too. I like all types of games.

Well, I guess it's just probably a mix of residual from the game, stress from the day, and mixed up to be a hallucination. I'll go with that for now.... Mine come in groups, so I'll let you know if I have more. O.O
