oh and some british countryside. This is from a place called stormy point or Devils Grave. It is some distance from here, I didnt take picture, i wouldnt go there. When we were young, they took me there in the evening and all ran off. I got lost , its like a huge forest, very hilly and like mountains, streams , lakes, scary as hell.

FOR FUN - what does your room say about you?

Wow great thread Newtus I laughed, I cried, I ate cheetos. I wish I had a way to take a picture of the dumpster across the street from my trailer park...but somehow it seems less exhilarating than HavingABadDay's countryside and duckies. I didn't know hats were called Texans! lol
Thanks for this!

But America is so much bigger than the UK. Even if you live in a true rural location here, you are only a few mins from a big town. Mostly anyway, unless you live in some parts Scotland.

Wow that's cool, it reminds me of a place in Montana where I spent six years in a very remote place and we had buildings like that. I think it was called "Snow Shoe Mine". That's a pretty sweet ride too

My whole house speaks vollumes about my mental illess. It's extremely cluttered and disorganized. We clean it up, and it's like the tazmanian devil comes to visit, throwing clothes and toys and everything all over.

You know that saying "a cluttered desk is evidance of a cluttered mind." That is me 100% I really struggle with the keeping up on the house thing. Putting away laundry, etc. etc.

My mom and my grandma (her mom) were both horders. So, I have tendancies and I try not to. Our house like packed with stuff or anything. It's just really stressful for me to get rid of stuff sometimes, but I work hard on it. Plus wish my disorganization problem, it doesn't take long for my area to suddenly be cluttered.

Part of it isn't my fault exactly. We have two dogs and they are vultures. I don't like either of them. They wait until we are all alseep and then get into the trash and drag it all over the house. We have tried tons of strategies to stop them, even hanging the trash up high on the wall. They are both spoiled rotten by my mother-in-law, too.

That's a pretty good picture, though. I like pictures of old buildings. And that's one awesome slug bug. Flames!

It would suck to live in a place that's too isolated. I live in the big city and it's okay. Sometimes I wish I could live in those paintings with the cute little cottages in the woods by a pretty little bridge... but still have internet of course.

I used to live in organized chaos all my life.... Clothes in the corner, random stuff on the floor, half of my bed filled with books, hairdryer and clothing. My cupboard was NEVER packed neatly, just rolls and rolls of garments entertwined. I used to find clothes by feeling the material.... My room was never fit for company, but atleast it never smelled I would clean for real only when the clutter got so bad it actually got on my own nerves, and atleast tidy up here and there, whenever, but it would be cluttered again in the blink of an eye....

My mom could never understand how someone who is obviously not lazy, and very organized in other areas could be so messy!

Well all of a sudden that changed on the 5th of January. My room is now neat and organized, all the mementos and 'just incase' items have been chucked in the bin. I tidy up daily as opposed to weekly all of sudden it irks me when something is out of place

Maybe its my state of mind, I think I've been improving quite alot upstairs

I should so get a medal because my room has never made it clean past the week mark and its now been 2 months!

That room is awesome!

I'd like to have a room that's like a wizards library.

I'd be too scared that the books would bury me while I sleep (well try, cos I dont sleep!).

I need my room to be less 'around' me. Otherwise it makes me feel like im being strangled.

Even though I like that - I like my room to be more open.

That's why I would like a wizard library because you still get all the cool book shelves but also usually a big fantasy castle window. And the rooms are usually round, because they are in a tower. I like round rooms for some reason...

My room seems small because I have a lot of furniture and TONS of colors on the wall. I have a lot of pictures up from the internet that I like, and a lot of my art on the wall. My closet's sliding doors are off so the closet is open to make the room seem bigger (it fails).
I heard my sister's friend say one day (the rarest day where I left my door open) that I have a lot of stuff. To be fair, half the furniture was obtained free by roadside shopping and the other half were hand me downs. I have a lot of plants by the window and they are my babies so I make sure they are comfortable and don't move them around a lot.
I like to rearrange my room a lot because when it's the same for too long I get restless. Right now my room is really messy because I have art supplies on the floor, I still have clothes from my trip to dc from January on my bed, more recently my trip to Iowa, and I have jewelry and notebooks and an (unlit) candle. There are two piles o clothes in front of my bookshelf and my closet is full of blankets I need to wash.
There are really too many colors in here right now because of everything strewn around, and it's not the amount of things to clean that makes it hard, it's the colors. They are so bright and angry.
I also have a desk but it has unfinished paintings laying flat (98% of my paintings are unfinished) and there are camera things and whatnot on top of it.
I guess my room says a lot about me- disorganized mind, always a lot going on, stuff where it doesn't belong etc
