help me please.. I don't know what my atty is doing but I have had terrible doctors at my cheapy psych medical building In 4 years I have had about 10 diff providers.. the problem is one of the docs an old retired man who said he was just there for a few weeks to make money to go on vacation to vegas said after I inquired about why I was having comorbid symptoms similar to BPD. He said, prob because you are bpd.. and in one session he decided I had BPD even though I had been formerly diagnosed with ADHD, PTSD Mood Disorder Unknown NOS.. and so that one session destroyed me.. I had to go before the ALJ judge for SSA Disability and she and their hired doctor had tried to push that I was simply BPD with narsassistic tendencies.. and she and that doctor based everything on one doctor's notes who saw me only once..

The problem is that I recently now I am in appeals or after ALJ and am running out of time to get SSA disability .. I need a real doctor to contact to actually get i'm not sure a second opinion maybe or perhaps have them fill out a physicians determination worksheet to transmit to them.. but I need something because I recently have received a new diagnosis more than likely for the long-term use of adderall xr 10 years I recently while even off it since Jan have been having severe problems and I went to inpatient treatment. They diagnosed me as scitzophrenic. I am in big trouble because I am stuck and my atty is really no help at this point but I need to send what will show that I really am in a world of trouble with this new diagnosis, plus PTSD ongoing, ADHD, Mood Disorder Unknown NOS and Anxiety.. I know most would say go back to my old doctor but even they are all gone, its pointless to see a new doctor who sees me for 5 min doesn't know my history or what is going on and then just sends me out the door.. Can I get or find doctors online or somewhere as I am in Missouri and need something filled out maybe even a letter of determination to show my impairments.. Normally I would just give up as usual as I have in the past.

The problem is that they based everything on one doctors one note who saw me once and simply went off on that as a probable diagnosis since I brought it up while suffering cross and comorbid symptoms which as it turns out.. Were the same comorbitiies as my scitzophrenia and as it turns out was given to me as a diagnosis after a inpatient hospital stay.. I really need help because I am in just a big mess, if this falls though I really don't see anything else happening for me.. I would love to work but if I did, I can see how quickly this all would become quite problematic.

Where do I go and who can help me please????

I'm sorry you're going through this.

I don't know much about it except I know my mother-in-lawn saw her own psychiatrist and was denied. She was told you're never approved on the first try. So, on the second try she had to go to see the SSI psychiatrsit and he agreed with her dx of Bipolar 1, and because he agreed she got it no problem.

So, have you seen their psychiatrist? I don't know it might work differently in different states. But that's what happened with her.

I would definitely get a second opinion. You deserve a fair assessment. Any clinician that states you have a personality disorder in five minutes is careless. It seems to be a power trip they play with clients who frustrate them. If you complain of interpersonal problems, mood swings, self harm and lack of identity you will most likely get that stigmatizing label.

You know yourself better than the doctors. Remember that.
