so in the night listning to the storm I could feel my brain starting to change. its like a chemical change . then paranoia and a little fear set in . I don't know what it is ! then I start seeing images of ??? people things idk. then as I start to sleep a little I feel frozen paralyzed. what is it ?

Sounds like hypnogogic hallucinations, these are considered normal.

Yep, I agree - Hypnogogic hallucinations. It's considered normal to have all sorts of hallucinations going to sleep (hypnogogic) and on waking up (hypnopompic) as our brains adjust from being awake to dreams and vice versa, but it can be disconcerting the first time it happens if you don't know what's happening.
