Hallucinations never really showed up much for me. Usually there's just one voice talking to me, but now that voice has started to show up in hallucinations.

First couple of times I thought it was real, but an acquaintance convinced me it wasn't. Now I feel scared for my safety.

Will it get even worse?

Will it try to hurt me?

Now I'm very confused about what's going on. Any help?

You said in your original post you don't want to cure what you have which sounds a lot like psychosis. If you change your mind talk to a psychiatrist and they will give you meds that may stop the hallucinations. Will it get worse? Probably. Will it try to hurt you? If you think it will then yes most likely, these things tend to play off our worst fears. Help? ...I don't have advice for the visuals because I could never tell them from reality. My advice is to see a psychiatrist and get some meds to have around, you don't have to take them right away but if things get bad and you want to escape they will be there for you. Things can get really bad pretty fast.

I feel like I'm regretting not wanting a cure now..

I had fun at first too, with dragons and leprechauns etc then it turned bad. The current recommendation from my pdoc is stabilize on meds for six months then if appropriate you can try to go off them. I am tapering off meds now so there is recovery. The sooner you get treated the better your chances of a full recovery. I don't hear any voices now and I haven't for eight months. Aim for short term stabilization on the meds. Good luck!
