Haha. That's funny, Indie.

In real life I am not open about my diagnoses except for different types of anxiety and ADHD. Other diagnoses I do show symptoms, but I try to be professional about it. The majority of people I know don't know I have these problems and a lot of people look up to me. I do not view myself mentally ill or pity myself, I put in countless hours of volunteer services through various organizations in my community such as soup kitchens, hospitals, animal rehabilitation centers, etc. I am also as hospice cna and I take care of the dying and sometimes those who can not take care of themselves such as people who have dementia. I do more than the average healthy person in my community and I strive very hard to do what I am currently doing.
I don't know what happened to my previous reply, bot it was similar to yours, I the sense that I feel that Psych Central is the one place we can disclose our meds and dxs. In the real world it's maybe not appropriate and could cost us our jobs etc. also, I had in-laws that were very critical of all the meds I take. They blamed me for my physical illnesses- said if I only took less medicine, had more faith, ate a better vegetarian diet ( their religion was against eating meat ) I wouldn't be sick, one of them even told me in Mexico no one had the luxury of being depressed because they had to work to hard and weren't so self-involved. Also, I had whooping cough at the type with separated rips and could barely walk with my injury. This lady was a medical dr , but her advice to me was to LOSE WEIGHT! I only weighed 145. She told me my foot would feel better of i weighed less so i should walk more. My real dr when I got home told me to stay off my foot and that I actually had pneumonia from the whooping cough. Oh, and I wasn't overweight; I was just puffed up from steroids I needed to breathe. Experiences like this though have been really hurtful to me and make me sometimes feel alone. Anyhow, reading that other people need meds too, and that other people share similar dxs make me feel less alone. So I thank people for being willing to share here on PC. I think of PC as a safe wonderful house full of friends.

IDK.
I find it helpful. I guess I can say I respect those who do and those who dont do it.

But as a newbie...knowing this is a respected site for those who cannot express themselves and their illness 'out there',
I understand why folks write it in their signature.

I have it for my daughter. I think it is helpful for others to know?
Correct me if I am wrong, Im new at this.

I didn't realize so many ppl liked the labels in the signatures. That's good to know. This turned out to be a good thread, thanks!
