I'm not good at it but my aunt who was an art teacher is. She knows everything about drawings and development. She lives far away though. And maybe it's only for little kids, she was an elementary school teacher.

Personally I think we just draw what we feel. but as a kid I used to draw tornados all the time. Tornados destroying things. She said the tornado symbolized something but I can't remember. My cousin once drew a picture of our family and everyone had smiles except her dad, and he had a big square mouth with lots of teeth. My aunt said that meant that she sees him as an angry person who causes conflict. And he is an angry person who causes conflict. My cousin was only 5 at the time she drew it.

I think it looks like a comic character. Simple but really expressive. I think you did a good job. It's great when expression comes through in drawing.

It looks like one of those fancy dining room chairs to me. They kind of stick up on the sides like that.

Nice ones, newtus! Even if they're simple drawings, you did them very well and expressive. I wish I could do that, my whole imagination seems to fade when I try to draw

Drawing is fun but also annoying. I can see something drawing itself in my head. I know where all the lines go and what shapes they need. But when my brain tries to tell my hands what to do, it doesn't listen. Haha. I still like to draw, though. Even if things look simple it is still fun and relaxing.

Exactly! Once I 'saw' a pretty interesting drawing/painting inside my head, but when I took up the pencils to draw it, everything turned into a lame sketch wannabe. I've found a website that makes drawing very easy, it's like drawing in Paint, only a lot more artistic. At least I can play with that for a while

Here it is! As you can see, it has different types of brushes and the curves almost draw by themselves. Have fun
Thanks for this!

That is a really awesome site.....I went there & drew a rose using color & another winter rose just with black & white.....I saved it but it saves as a PNG file & had problems finding something I could open it in.

But oh, I love the results....I did play around with the different brush techniques drawing shapes to see what they turned out like....

Thanks for sharing....my new place to go for relaxation.

Eski, if you have Windows you should have Paint and it will open it for you. If you don't have Paint you can download paint.net which is freeware and like a more powerful version of Paint.
