Sometimes I interpret a voice as a reaction on my thoughts, while listening to an audiobook or digital video recorder. Upon rewinding I find then out that these words were actually said.
I even have this when I am listening to an audiobook at increased speed or to English (not my first language).
Have you also experienced something like this?

I think this is actually a pretty common symptom. I don't experience it but it tends to be listed as one of the "general" symptoms or example symptom of psychosis. The idea that a t.v. or radio or other something is talking directly to you or directly into your mind.

No, that is not what I meant. In these cases I think I have a hallucination, but in reality I am hearing it.
So I don’t think it is on TV or on the audio book, but in reality it is so. After I have found out that it is no hallucination, I also believe that it had to do with what was on television or in the audiobook, not with my thoughts.

I know what you mean. I've heard some one call my name and thought it's just a auditory hallucination but then the person taps me on my shoulder and I see it was real after all. This happens once in awhile to me at work and home and it can be either way too.

Your going into the whole area of 'insight' which is great. Many of the things you think are hallucinations are not. Its just the mind is interpreting what is being said as intensely personal , psychosis means that your senses are heightened, and emotional responses are inappropriate at times. Also you may find that distinct sounds , where the brain cant parse the sound , will interpret the sound as a word or phrase sometimes derogatory sometimes not. If you were lucky to hear the sound again . Then it may ryme with the phrase you thought was said but ultimately unrelated to it.

Also because emotional responses are inappropriate in intensity means that the interpretation of it has intense significance thus contributing to delusions.

Good luck
