I'm glad your niece isn't staying with you any more. That would be very stressful to have around. It's scary and it's too bad she is going through that.

I think groups are a good idea, as long as they are the right group. But you have to give it a chance to find out. I hope it goes wells and it's a good group for you. I'm glad your husband is going, too. It's good you have his support.

I'm proud of you for going, and glad your husband went with you. It's scary now, but I think these steps will help you. I'm really glad you have good support with your husband.

That seems like an unusual thing to me. I wonder what he is expecting you to try?

Wow I'm sorry to hear your going through this. Why does he want to lower your meds. Doesn't seem right, the opposite should happen, right?

While it really sucks that your doc won't help with meds when you want them, it's probably best to work on things that YOU can do to help yourself, rather than being at the mercy of doctors for the foreseeable future. I'm in the UK too and my docs took away the meds too and I'm on my own now too, so I can relate to how you must be feeling. Try to think positively though. You have a supportive husband, you have the HV group and you have us on PC to help support you. I personally find distraction very helpful, and loud music through headphones. I wish you the best

I agree with this.

And, I think you're feeling lost right now. But really, your husband is going to groups with you, and if he didn't care at all he wouldn't even bother. You'd be left on your own. Trust me, finding help on your own isn't so great. I'm terrible at it, even when I have recourses available I tend to not work hard enough for myself. So, keep posting and know we all care.

Sorry i meant professionals don't care
i didn't mean that my husband don't care
He agrees with my psych
I am going to more groups like the hearing voices groups also a gym group and a walking group ts also something for us both to do during the week instead of being in the house all the time
i guess my psych wants to see if i cope with things i see him again in 6 weeks

yes there are 3 groups in Edinburgh , Scotland i dont know if that is normal for a city to have them but you can find out if there is any ones in your area here Hearing Voices Network: Welcome
they also have a forum as well

tonight the voices are very loud telling me to hurt myself also i thought that my husband was a zombie i had a knife but he took it off me saying its too dangerous for me to be walking about with a knife and he hid it
the bad voices are the loudest they scare me a lot the good voices say nice things like am doing well and don't be afraid there not as loud as the bad voices

I feel exhausted with hearing them all the time there is never a break
sometimes i cant sleep because of them
Tomorrow my husband will be out for the day getting my nieces who are staying over for one night there only 11 and 12 so they cant go on the bus by themselves as there too young to
my sister is coming up to see me as well and my other niece will be here as well so it will be a full house
I don't know if i can cope with that many people in the house at the one time
i think ill hid in my room for a few hours
