to go through psychosis without a break for more than two years if you are schizophrenic?

No, in fact in order to get a diagnosis of schizophrenia, you have to have symptoms for 6 months.

I had psychotic symptoms for 2 years until I finally lost it and had to be hospitalized. The longest period I went without voices was about 2 weeks, and I still had paranoia and minor visual hallucinations during that time.

Thank you it worries me so much that I'm going through psychosis for so long. My voices are people I know in real life but they're internalized. They make me feel like these people can fully talk to me with simply their brain.
