What is it in schizophrenia? My adult son has told me he now has this. I know what it is in dementia, but not mental illness.

I don't think there is a different version for schizophrenia. It is a mental state that is common in disoriented seniors, where they start hallucinating and stuff.

I find that at night my symptoms are rather worse then the daytime. It is rather aggravating to me to say the least and really affects my sleeping ability.

I am only aware of this specific term being applied to dementia patients. Can you ask your son what he means? Or how he came to have this diagnosis? He may have heard of or read about some of the symptoms and related to them.
