Mine pretty much asked me questions and I just responded. They are all different some will have sort of a checklist and others will just want to have a convo first then go into a checklist. My first one we were just talking about random stuff for like 30 minutes I have no idea what he was looking for then I had a friend with me and she started asking me about one of my delusions I had no idea wasn't real at the time then that lead into whether I heard voices and a bunch of details about the voices whether they ever spoke to each other how often I heard them etc. I also developed the delusion I was Mother Nature because of a magazine in the waiting room and I felt the temperature in the room was constantly changing so I think I even had a blanket with me. Somehow I thought the pdoc was actually my uncle and he was supposed to help me pass a psych evaluation by cheating so I ended up being honest with him...so in comparison to that you'll be fine

If there's anything you want to ask make sure you write it down and bring it with you. That way you don't forget during the appointment. That's my best dcotr acdvice.

I saw the Psychiatrist Today,He was very nice.
we talked for a while then he started asking me questions and I was open
and honest I had a hard time at first..Soo he told me to take a breath relax and we would
go over things a little bit at a time. He prescribed me Something called Risperdal.
So I need to pick that up. I hope it helps,I'm a little nervous about taking this medication,
for the first time.. I am on 2mg,to start with.I was wondering the first time i take this,What should I expect? has anyone else here ever taken this before?

I know I answered in roll call too but this made me think of an alternate story. So the first time I took it I told the pdoc it was like floating in an inner tube down a river with my hands dangling in the water...I was so relaxed because I no longer had the voices bothering me constantly...it does have sort of an anti-anxiety effect but it's not like you get a high or anything it's more like it just stops some bad stuff from happening...

Wow sounds very interesting thanks for sharing!
I really hope it works well for me. I can't even remember
what life is like without the voices or hallucinations. Since I have been
having them from childhood.

I'm on Risperdal but it's some insanely low dose right now. I do sleep much better on it, but especially after the first few days of taking it I get nauseous and dizzy, but it usually dissipates after a couple days. And I think it makes my muscles a little more sore, but not even remotely close to as bad as when I was on Abilify or Geodon.
