I think for it to be classed as psychosis you have to have either delusions or hallucinations

Thanks.
Just because i read somewhere about psychosis from stress/drugs causes severe anxiety, confusion etc. I read on article where a guy had music looping in his head n severe anxiety which got classed as psychosis, which resulted from drug withdrawal.Would tht come under an hallucination then?? |

I repeat words and sentences in my mind and out loud when I have disorganized thinking and cognitive dysfunction in relation to OCD/Schizotypal which I would consider to be extreme stress that eventually leads to hallucinations and delusions If I don't take an antipsychotic long term. If I take something sedating such as a benzodiazepine, I'm calm but still hear voices which is a weird feeling I guess.
Schizotypal symptom: "Occasional transient quasi-psychotic episodes with intense illusions, auditory or other hallucinations and delusion-like ideas, usually occurring without external provocation". So even for me, most of the times it's not even considered as actual psychosis until I'm on the news or something.. |
