Hello psych central! I am not yet a teenager and worried that I may have schizophrenia. I am beginning to believe that the gov't is out to kill me and has been trying. Lately I have began to think about it more and more. My parents know and I will see a doctor. I am very nervous, as I don't like to talk about it (putting it on the Internet feels different, though). I am very worried that I may have schizophrenia. Please help.

Ps: I also seem to have a bit of trouble communicating, like getting constantly caught up when talking. Is this a symptom?

Yeah it's possible but it's highly treatable if caught early so it's good you are seeing a doc...there are some other things like delusional disorder that are also possibilities...yeah disordered thoughts/word salad sort sort of a nonsensical style of speaking are also symptoms...

Bipolar I can also have psychotic symptoms. Kudos to you for being willing to see a doctor and get it sorted out.

I urge you to get help ASAP. If you ignore the symptoms you may lose insight and become psychotic. Getting help before full blown psychosis develops can help reduce disabling symptoms, such as cognitive difficulties.

Psychosis is scary and can be traumatic. It consumes you. You dream it and live it. It is a reality nobody understands but you.

Maybe you can write your concerns on paper and give it to your doctor.

Uggggghhhhh so apparently I will be seeing the doc in a week they had to schedule it later. Things have been getting worse. I have began to hallucinate (rather rarely) and was (cuz school's out) having trouble understanding the instructions given. My handwriting got a bit worse (always has been bad)

If things get really bad you can goto an ER of any hospital with a psychiatrist on call....they can quickly evaluate and get you meds if needed..just make sure they have a psychiatrist because not all hospitals do..

Ya it's gotten progressively bad but not ER bad. If it gets really bad I will ask my parents to take me.
