I had a five hour "nap" this afternoon. Now I don't know what I'll do to get back on an early schedule.

Got back from my sisters band concert. It was chaotic. They had the orchestra, choir, and the band in the little middle school gym with everyone family and their grandmothers there.

^ Sounds it!

Morning everyone...

I'm feeling positive about today... will be taking my meds tonight instead, I put a nicotine patch on and I'm checking in here already! So shaping up to be a good day I think.

Starting to get excited about Christmas... I think we'll be decorating the tree today or tomorrow.

Several... welldone.

I'm glad to say I've made the transition onto my patch + spray ok so far today... been 1hr 35 since I had half a cigarette & I've no more left so here's hoping I can keep it up all day.

I think it's just making the step to stop smoking completely and rely on NRT that is the hardest part, you know getting out the whole habit of actually smoking / buying cigarettes.

I wish you wonderful luck and a steel will. I know how hard it is since I haven't had much success with it myself although I have e-cigs here and also patches. I enjoy smoking so much and I hate myself for it.

Thanks.

I can relate to that, I enjoyed smoking like 10 a day but by the time I'm smoking 25 a day, I hate myself for smoking & would give anything to stop but I still enjoy each cigarette... takes a while to build the willpower when that happens.

Money is a big factor for me right now, I'm ok now but I won't have cash for anything else for myself when I go back to my flat unless I stop. It's so damn expensive.

Definitely too expensive. I probably spend about $250 every 6 to 8 weeks on tobacco and supplies. It's an expense I could do without for sure. (Cigarettes would cost about $100/week!)

I'm going to confuse you chickenfoot by quoting from the last rollcall

That's how my delusions go, you get this funny feeling that something is off but you can bring yourself back or rather, stop it getting completely out of hand if you keep questioning that feeling.

I'm glad to say the Abilify has mine largely under control although I occasionally get strange thoughts, like "why is that van there" but it never gets fully fledged anymore.

Only thing that persist notably for me now is voices... they were always the worst part of my psychosis in terms of how I cope with them so I guess that makes sense. Took months of being on meds last time to quell them to an hour or two a day... guess it'll be the same again for me.

24/7 unless I'm distracted but I have good insight i.e. I recognize them & they are not very loud most the time. They sound mostly too quiet to be 'real' but they come in through my ears all the same.

I tend only to hear one at a time, I think there are 3 that vie for my attention & occasionally they tell the other to shut up or talk over each other.

They were getting loud every day but now they are mostly quiet on meds. Tend only to get distressing if they get loud but that is rarely for longer than an hour or so. Doesn't mean they can't still get to me though... they are always persecutory.

P-doc noted most my hallucinations & delusions are persecutory in nature strangely enough last time I saw him.

Hey everyone. How's it going?

I slept 12 hours. Oh well at least I got up. Still dealing with the agoraphobia and depression. I watch all these really intense sad movies. My son is like, you should quit watching them, but it makes me feel not so alone I guess.

I need to start Christmas shopping. I love giving gifts it's just really hard when you're broke and need someone to drive you to get them. Ugh....I haven't really liked Christmas since my mom died. At least we don't have snow, but their saying it will on Christmas. Sorry wish I was more positive today.

Oh and atypical, so sorry you're dealing with that horrible akathisia.

You know I used to have 24/7 voices too---apparently that isn't typical---I put up once here what a forensic psychiatrist wrote out as symptoms and they are supposed to be intermittent I only wish for your sake and mine that someone had informed the voices of that.

OK what I was really wondering was how you sleep with them chattering away? Mine were usually quiet for like a second then they would be talking about sleep waves or telling me I was schizophrenic or whatever the minute I started nodding off. I would eventually pass out for like 2 hours and then wake up but I have no recollection of falling asleep. So yeah how do you fall asleep and stay asleep?
