I decided to get back on a AP. Seroquel was the only one who did anything for my negative symptoms but nothing for my hallucinations or delusions. But it does help my paranoia, which has been super bad lately. I'm down to 128 or less (I haven't checked my weight in over a week.) and gaining weight would actually be nice. My last dose was 800mg. My doctor asked me what dose I want to start out on and I said 800mg so I don't have to spend forever being tired and get accumulated to the full dose in a shorter time period. Has anyone else ever done anything like that? If so, how was it?

I started on 600mg so not too far off really. It wasn't too bad, I didn't have any sicky feeling in my stomach like some of the others had caused. I did however sleep like a log for quite sometime which is unusual for me as i barely sleep normally. The effect would follow on into day time, but you get used to it after a week or so. I'm currently on the prolonged release ones but changing to the normal ones next week.
Like you they do work ok for my negative symptoms. Hallucinations, both auditory and visual still persistent. Since being on them I have put on a little weight.

Forgot to mention the weight gain bit, i don't know if it was seroquel that caused that or the fact that when i take it at night with zopiclone at the same time i get a raging hunger from no where and tend to raid my fridge, without taking zopiclone with it i dont get the hunger.
Highest dose ive gone up to is 1200mg

I'm taking the xr. The pharmacy won't have it in stock until today but the roads are covered in ice, so it'll be tomorrow when I get them. Most likely your weight gain was from the seroquel most likely. I gained 50lbs on it because I ate all of the time. I had the gastric sleeve surgery, so I can't eat barely anything. I can't eat because I'm never hungry. So I'm actually happy for those side effects everyone hates. I went from 265lbs to 128lbs in one year since surgery.

They really have anything I need in.

I hate that. If they have patients who they know will need a refill every month, they should order ahead of time. My pharmacy only had partials for 2 of mine out of 4.

I think meds should be taken like that or stopped that quick. If you didn't get any side effects last time, I dot see the problem.

But it'll knock you out though for a few days if you start with almost a gram xd

I just took 600mg, I don't find anything happens until I eat something then they hit me like a brick.
My chemist is like that too with partials having only a few at a time despite the fact I go in there for two weekly repeats. They give me everything on two weekly repeats instead of a month at a time which is a bit annoying but I think its to limit how much zopiclone im eating.
Wondering if the normal release ones will be better, i'm getting them over prolonged release to help with anxiety and depression like feelings, psychiatrist said seroquel has some anti depressant properties.

ive taken up to 550mg seroquel. it made me a zombie. i take 100mg at night now though

Hallucinations and delusions are positive symptoms. I think that includes paranoia. So you had some limited success with this drug.

I've literally tried every AP except clozaril. Me and my doctor think the side effects are too much.

Haldol is the only one to make me feel like a zombie. When I was at 15mg twice a day.

i take invega and seroquel. i was on clozaril. it made me pee my bed in my sleep. i slept like all the time. ive been on all the APs plus haldol and clozapine. invega helps me right now

I thought about the invega shot and got started on the paperwork but I changed my mind because I was too worried id have some weird side effect that id have to deal with until the shot wore off. Thank you birth control shot for ruining shot medicine like that.
