i have to stop talking to my family

they are the root of my problems

they made me fit into DSM dx so nothing comes back on them

its all part of there plan and part of whats going on

everything is set up, they are conspiring to get me put away

i do require medication for impulse control, or i would be sitting in prison right now.

i don't know what to do because everything is set up.

even my mental heath program, they are all working together.

According to your signature you are on the loading phase of Invega Sustenna injections. I should warn you that the effects of that drug are likely worse than the possibility of jail. While under its effects you are going to be unable to maintain meaningful employment or enjoy any of the things you usually do for fun. Your health is going to fall apart and you are going to lose the ability to maintain a social conversation. The end result is a pathetic existence which is probably not worth living.

I highly recommend you talk to your family and reach a consensus that does not involve medication. If your family is currently supporting the doctors in their prescription, I encourage you to educate them on the negative aspects of the medication. It is unlikely that your family is going to want you to continue taking the medication once they learn what it is going to do to you.

In the event that your family insists that you continue taking the medication, I recommend that you do your best to split ties with them. It is probably better to do this while not under the effects of anti psychotics as they quickly destroy your ability to function in society.

I wish you the best of luck.

Wow how do you explain people like Elyn Saks who thrive on medication. I'll give myself as an example as well----I'm on abilify, an antipsychotic and I'm an assistant professor doing scientific research. As far as I'm concerned the antipsychotic was the only thing keeping me in this job for the last 4 years. I think it's fair to say that everyone has a different approach to medicine and I'm sorry that you weren't happy with it, it certainly doesn't work for everyone but I'm not sure that telling people to not try something is the best approach. Sure if you try meds and they don't help, no reason to keep taking them but if they do help, well it can save a life.

I'm not interested in hearing false stories about anti psychotics when my personal experience with them has destroyed so much of my life. They greatly reduce your mental capacity. I worked as a tutor and attended undergraduate classes while under their effect. My performance was greatly reduced, my ability to function socially was greatly reduced and the joy I used to take in such activities was destroyed. They are extremely hazardous to your health, destroying your metabolism in epic fashion. It is very difficult to properly deal with any other health issues you have while on them. In fact, it is damn near impossible to deal with many of life's hardships while sedated by these medications.

It also takes ****ing decades to get off them.

I'm not sure how abilify effects you personally but anti psychotics tend to shrink the brain. I got so much dumber on them. I still feel stupid now. Socially, my minds capacity to have a conversation at normal speeds was destroyed. My creativity became damn near non existent. Problem solving became extremely difficult. Memory was reduced to laughable levels.

Maybe you are just so smart you don't even notice. I doubt it though, most likely you are just full of ****.

It's different for everyone......for some us they work, especially at low doses.

I was actually off them for 9 months so I have a direct comparison.....the main thing they do is keep me sane, aside from that there is a little shaking when I'm nervous and minor weight gain.....it's not ideal but it's better than being psychotic.

As far as being smart I do have a PhD so yeah maybe I just don't notice what is a large impact for you...

First of all I don't think that is any way to talk to people trying to give support and advice
If you don't like antipsychotics fine, but advising someone to stop taking theirs and calling someone who Has benefited from antiosychotics "full of ****" is unnecessary and unhelpful

Also there has been proof that psychosis causes brain damage when untreated

Anyway, to the op,
I can understand that feeling of being followed and watched
I still don't know if I should believe me Dx because it honestly feels like it's just some dumb label to make people not believe you
Thanks for this!

Can I ask what it is you do for your illness if not on antipsychotic?

I continue living my life, which is easy since I do not have schizophrenia.

Is this why you cannot respect others? "Which is easy since I don't have schizophrenia". Does others struggle with schizophrenia mean something to you?

This is very crude of you, uncalled for and more indicative of your problems rather than anyone else's.
