This morning I heard an IP nurse calling my name several times. Woke me up.

Hallucinations when falling asleep or waking happen to lots of people, so don't worry Apparently 10-25% of the population has them--many of whom are "normal"...whatever that means, haha. The technical term is hypnagogic/hypnopompic hallucinations

I'm so sorry you're still going through this again? Did they give you a new diagnosis in IP? Something more than BP? Did they keep you on a AP this time? Since you heard this before waking up, maybe you were dreaming? You can always PM me still if you need to talk (hugs)

I agree that it sounds like either hypnogogic hallucinations or even a dream.

I've certainly had dreams where I heard something loud & repetitive before waking. I think sometimes these might be a reaction to external stimuli being factored in your dream which wakes you up.

Equally, I've had hallucinations waking up/falling asleep a few times. The strangest was hearing classical music very clearly just as I was falling asleep once.

Either way, an isolated incident isn't anything to worry about if it's not happening at other times of the day too.

This time he said bp with psychotic features and also added panic disorder with my PTSD. I'm on Latuda. Take it three times a day and I'm doing well

I'm sorry to hear about the extra diagnosis. I had one episode of psychosis a year ago but I was blacked out. Apparently I was hallucinating and trying to eat things that weren't food. Thought my car was my bedroom. It's pretty embarrassing. I'm just glad I don't remember it. But hey I'm glad your Latuda is working for you! Glad you're feeling better and we're all here for you if you ever get down again.
