I've been told by doctors that I have Paranoid Schizophrenia, but I am not sure whether or not I'm just psychic.

In my first hallucinations, I heard a voice say that we are all connected by the pineal gland in the brain (at least i think that was what it was showing me) - and saw a picture of a brain. There was talk of a pcychic network.

I get impressions of other people's minds i.e. in the past i have believed to have channelled people i know and even Einstein. . I will all of sudden feel like them, as if i was them. It was really distressing when it first started, but now I manage it by just letting it be there and then it disappears.

In the past, i have witnessed the birth of baby Jesus - I could see the energy. I saw the people that surrounded him and how in awe and loving they were, and i saw Jesus the second he emerged into the world and it was beautiful, truly.
These are strange but positive things, but my illness has brought me so much negative too.

And i felt as dense as stone and numb - which was really scary and I tried to make a clay pot whilst feeling this way but was feeling overwhelmed by it.

Has anyone else got similar experiences?

I've always wondered what the difference was between psychosis and psychics. I read somewhere that psychics are just people who can deal with psychosis and cope with it. I believe in psychic things though and believe i have had my fair share of those experiences. especially in my "prodromaL" phase. Who knows

There is a very thin line between mental illness and psychics, you should do some research on it (if you haven't already)

Good luck

I don't necessarily believe in psychics, however don't let my personal opinion stop you, its a strange world out there .
Take care ~

There are many types of monsters that scare me: Monsters who cause trouble without showing themselves, monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood... and then, monsters who tell nothing but lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others. They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they've never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such monsters, I would likely be eaten by them... because in truth, I am that monster.

Hi Emma!

There are many documentaries, theories, and literature in general on schizophrenia being a modern manifestation of a psychic, a shaman, a person whose role in society is to venture the many realms of existence..

Indeed, the pineal gland is heavily linked with experiencing these states, as it storages large amounts of DMT (world's most powerful halucinogen) which are released upon death. Schizophrenia is linked to the effects of various hallucinogen drugs, not sure how exactly, perhaps a 'malfunction' of these centres.

These are some of my personal favorite documentaries exploring this idea

I've read that the difference between a shaman and a schizophrenic is that a shaman learns to control it and use it to benefit him/his people, while a schizophrenic struggles with the condition. Western medicine sees it more of a burden while some indigenous/eastern people see it as a gift to be nurtured and used to its potential.

About experiencing other people's lives, I've had that happen to me. I could switch between people I know and even strangers-- I noticed I had a different body by my swinging hands and I was also located in their homes.

The only way that i have been personally able to reconscile some kind of an answer is to take an integral/holistic viewpoint - that we are body, mind, soul & spirit, within environment - that accounts for whatever theory/approach there is - social/environmental, physiology/biology/neurology, psychological/emotional, & spiritual/transpersonal.

i think that some people are highly sensitive, more in tune with life & more spiritually aware. i do think there is what can be considered psychic/paranormal phenomena. Ego reinforced materialism will never see it.

I wish people would not turn to a majic pill, especially for depression, anxiety etc. Ive had terrible anxiety when I was younger, couldnt talk to people, or be in damily events. I though very little of myseld, but I moved, travelled, got in a little sketchy situations, but experience made my life better. Good luck with that .
